This role involves investigating environmental incidents and overseeing specific environmental tasks across various sites. Additionally, the NEA assists the National Environmental Manager by ensuring strict adherence to environmental standards, developing and implementing ISO14001 systems, and conducting thorough environmental risk assessments. Key Responsibilities:The National Environment Advisor is responsible for supporting all aspects of environmental performance at Lactalis Australia. This role entails collecting key environmental performance indicators, aiding in regulatory compliance and activities, managing accreditations, and handling mandatory government reporting. Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining environmental standards and compliance programs, particularly at the Longwarry Food Park site, as well as at the Rowville, Jindi, and Lemnos locations.Strategic Management:Manage key environmental, energy, and other key sustainability data collection – Cority, provide support and training for sitesManage the implementation of ISO14001 at Longwarry and align and develop EMS to ensure consistency with group requirementsDevelop strategy and completion of site risk assessments – develop risk registerDrive waste management initiatives and waste contractor auditsEnsure compliance with selected site environmental licence annual reporting to state and territory environmental regulatorsEnsure environmental monitoring and management plans are completed in full and on timeProcess Management:Conduct ISO14001 gap analysis and auditsTechnical support for WWTP at Longwarry including liaising/managing chemical suppliersDevelop site inspection protocols and tools – help implement at site level – provide trainingProvide training – ISO14001/WWTP/ISO14001 – EMS, Lactalis best practiceInvestigate and provide support to sites for major environmental incidentsOperational Support Management:Assist with NGERS/NPI data collection – ensure consistencyAssist with data collection for external parties, Government, suppliersAssist with the Australian implementation of CorityAssist National Environment with drainage infrastructure projectsAssist with the preparation of annual environmental-related Capex strategy, work with sites to identify and assist with environmental projectsAnd all other tasks and duties as reasonably requested by your leader. ABOUT YOU:A successful candidate for this role is someone who can demonstrate a balance of positive, value-adding behavior and outstanding results, consistently meeting commitments to all stakeholders. This position is ideal for an applicant with:This position is ideal for an applicant with a tertiary qualification in environmental, engineering, science, or a relevant discipline. They should have experience with EMS (ISO 14001) development and implementation, knowledge of risk management techniques and Victorian environmental legislation, and the ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships. Practical knowledge of NGERS and NPI regulatory obligations is also essential. Operational Support Management:
